Ours is a model school and strongly believe in good healthy life and hygienic environment. Therefore, our teachers edify our students about hygiene and cleanliness. Dr. Bindesheswar Pathak, Founder, Sulabh Sanitation Movement, launched Sulabh School Sanitation Club program in various schools. It intends to make the future generations stronger, healthier and more alive to social realities and needs in respect sanitation and safe water use. We strongly believe that “A healthy mind resides in a healthy body”.
Educating cleanliness, sanitation, optimum utilization of natural resources like water, is critical in the formation of proper attitude of all students. It has been observed that in the past few decades, the drop rate has declined to minimal with maximal attendance and learning out comes.
We adopt different modes of inculcating hygiene and sanitation in our students and the community. To name few are acts of of teaching proper method of Hand-Washing, utilizing two separate dustbins for biodegradable waste and non-biodegradable waste, small shows capturing the message on personal hygiene, timely cleaning of school toilets by students and school teachers.
Sanitation Club has been very successful for girls undergoing their biological cycles. The group of school students and teachers of this club prepare sanitary napkins & these are kept in sanitary napkin vending machine, for use, installed in girls washroom. They are also taught about hygienic way of disposing the used napkin.
