On 8 October 2025, the National Air Force Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at the Boeing Sukanya STEM Lab. Seventeen Grade 6 students (4 girls and 13 boys) participated in a one-hour, hands-on learning session.
The event opened with a brief introduction to the history and significance of Indian Air Force Day, including its establishment in 1932 and the IAF’s role in safeguarding the nation’s skies. Students watched a short video on the bravery, discipline, and technological prowess of the Air Force, followed by an interactive discussion on aircraft design, aerodynamics, and recent developments in aviation technology.
Guided by the instructor, students then built paper airplanes to explore the basic principles of flight—lift, thrust, drag, and stability—linking theory to practice. The activity not only reinforced STEM concepts but also inspired respect for the dedication of Air Force personnel and sparked interest in future careers in aviation and defence technology.
The celebration successfully blended patriotism with experiential learning, leaving students motivated, informed, and proud of the nation’s air warriors.
