On the occasion of Atal Tinkering Day, 23 enthusiastic students from Grades 6 to 10 of Sulabh Public School participated in an exciting hands-on innovation session hosted by the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM).
The highlight of the day was a live one-hour challenge in which students designed and assembled a fully functional vacuum cleaner using easily available materials. This engaging activity not only sparked creativity but also helped students understand real-world applications of science, technology, and engineering.
The session was facilitated by Mr. Rajat Kumar, Resource Person from Learning Links Foundation (LLF), and Mr. Brajesh Pratap Singh from Sulabh Public School, who guided the participants through every step. Under their mentorship, students explored the principles of suction, air pressure, and motor functionality, gaining valuable insights into problem-solving and prototyping.
Reflecting the core spirit of the Atal Innovation Mission — to nurture curiosity, foster imagination, and promote experiential learning — the event witnessed exceptional teamwork and enthusiasm. By the end of the session, each team proudly demonstrated their working vacuum cleaner, showcasing both innovation and technical skill.
This initiative not only strengthened students’ STEM knowledge but also inspired them to think like young innovators, ready to shape a better future.
