On July 4, 2025, students of Sulabh Public School participated in the Micro Forest Plantation and Sensitization Programme held at M R Vivekananda Model School, Sector 13, Dwarka. Organized by Sulabh International in collaboration with IIHH EIACP Resource Partner under the aegis of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, the event was themed “Breath of Change: Clean Air for Blue Skies.”
Over 600 students, teachers, officials, and community members joined the initiative, which aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation and climate action. One of the highlights of the programme was a moving poetry recital by students of Sulabh Public School, urging people to act against air pollution and adopt greener lifestyles.
As part of the event, saplings of native species like Neem, Peepal, Jamun, Gulmohar, and Amaltas were planted to create a dense, biodiverse micro-forest. Students enthusiastically took part in the plantation activity and pledged to adopt eco-friendly habits, including conserving water and energy, reducing plastic use, and planting more trees.
This hands-on engagement served as a powerful learning experience, reinforcing the students’ role as active contributors to building a cleaner and healthier planet.
