Students of Sulabh Public School had the unique opportunity to witness a landmark moment in India’s space journey during a live viewing session of the historic Vikram-1 launch on 18 July 2026.
The session brought together 54 students, including 17 girls and 37 boys, along with three teachers, who watched the live telecast from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC), Sriharikota, streamed through Skyroot Aerospace’s official YouTube channel.
The event offered students a first-hand glimpse into one of India’s significant achievements in the commercial space sector. Beyond witnessing the launch, participants gained valuable insights into aerospace engineering, satellite deployment, and the growing role of private innovation in India’s space programme.
The interactive viewing experience encouraged students to explore the possibilities of science and technology while nurturing curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper appreciation for space exploration.
Through such initiatives, Sulabh Public School continues to provide experiential learning opportunities that inspire young minds, strengthen STEM education, and motivate students to pursue careers in science, innovation, and technology.
