The school celebrated Teachers’ Day with great enthusiasm on 5th September, 2026, honouring the educators who shape young minds every day. The celebrations began in individual classrooms with a lively entertainment programme presented by students of Classes IX and X. In a touching gesture, students felicitated their teachers with creative titles based on their respective subjects and crowned them with beautiful handmade crowns — a delightful expression of love, respect, and gratitude. Songs sung as a tribute added further warmth to the celebrations.
Dr. Prem Kumar, Chairman, SISASSS, and Ms. Vinita Verma, School Manager, graced the occasion as guests of honour, welcomed by Ms. Shelly Prabhakar. The programme opened with an English speech by Ms. Anshika of Class VII and a Hindi speech by Ms. Priyanshi Dixit of Class VIII, both reflecting on the life and academic contributions of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birthday on September 5 is observed as Teachers’ Day across India.
Addressing the gathering, Ms. Verma spoke movingly about the role and responsibilities of a teacher in shaping a student’s life. Drawing on her own teaching experience, she noted that teachers often carry personal and household challenges of their own, yet consistently set these aside to give their best in the classroom. She reminded everyone that teaching goes far beyond delivering a lesson — a good teacher walks in prepared, yet remains flexible enough to adapt to the mood, needs, and interests of students. Teachers, she added, are also lifelong learners: while teaching, they often pick up new skills and perspectives themselves, making teaching a continuous journey of growth for both students and educators alike.
In his inspiring address, Dr. Prem Kumar spoke about the lasting influence teachers have on our lives, noting that a good teacher is remembered for years, long after students complete their education. He shared the moving story of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the celebrated academician who went on to serve as Vice President and later President of India. When his students and friends once asked to celebrate his birthday, Dr. Radhakrishnan humbly requested that the day instead be observed as Teachers’ Day — a tribute to educators everywhere rather than to himself. Touched by his humility and deep devotion to teaching, the nation has honoured his wish ever since, observing September 5 as a day to recognise the invaluable contributions of teachers, mentors, and gurus. Dr. Prem Kumar extended his warm congratulations and best wishes to all the teachers present, presenting them with greetings and gifts as tokens of appreciation and gratitude.
The celebration drew to a close with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Ms. Rekha, bringing to an end a memorable day filled with respect, gratitude, and admiration for the teaching fraternity.
